Lesson 5: Revision Planning — Fixing the Right Things First
(Paste into Lesson Content)
Big idea
Not all fixes matter equally. A smart editor fixes the big problems first, then polishes.
Learning goals
By the end of this lesson, you can:
- Prioritize edits that improve story clarity and impact
- Create a revision plan using “High Impact Fixes”
- Turn feedback into action
What to fix first (the priority order)
Priority 1: Story clarity
- Is the issue clear?
- Do we understand who/what/where/why?
Priority 2: Pacing and structure
- Remove boring parts
- Make the hook stronger
- Ensure beginning–middle–end
Priority 3: Audio clarity
- Make voice understandable
- Lower music and noise
Priority 4: Visual consistency
- Add missing shots (wide/context)
- Improve shaky clips if possible
- Reduce distracting backgrounds
Priority 5: Titles + finishing polish
- Add simple titles
- Add credits (optional)
- Export cleanly
✅ This order helps you improve fast.
