What you will submit this week
You will create a short sequence video that tells a simple story through shots.
Final Deliverable
✅ One sequence video (45–90 seconds) filmed on your phone, showing:
- beginning → middle → end
- mixed shot types (wide/medium/close)
- steady footage (as much as possible)
You will also submit
- Your shot list (text/photo/screenshot)
- A one-line statement: “My story is about…”
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Choose your story idea (5 minutes)
Pick something simple and real:
- school routine
- work/hustle
- family activity
- making something
- a place with meaning
✅ One main idea only.
Step 2: Create a shot list (10–20 minutes)
Use 6–10 shots:
- 2 wides
- 3 mediums
- 3 close-ups
✅ Put your shot list in notes or on paper.
Step 3: Film your clips (30–60 minutes)
Rules:
- Each shot: 6–10 seconds
- Hold steady
- Avoid fast camera movements
- Keep light on the subject
✅ Aim for 10–15 clips total.
Step 4: Edit (simple) (20–45 minutes)
Minimum editing:
- Trim the start/end of clips
- Arrange into a sequence (beginning→middle→end)
- Add a title card at the start (optional)
- Add music ONLY if it does not overpower (optional)
✅ If you add music, keep it low.
Step 5: Export settings
Export as:
- MP4
- 720p or 1080p
- File name:
Week5_FirstName_LastName_SequenceVideo.mp4
