Programme Terms and Participation

Draft for YouthLearn Africa review

Programme Terms and Participation

This starter text is not legal advice. YouthLearn Africa must review, complete, and approve it before publication.

Participation

Submitting an application, registering a school, or creating an account does not guarantee approval, payment confirmation, Tutor LMS enrollment, certificate award, or publication of learner work. YouthLearn Africa reviews applications and activates access manually.

Institution Commitments

Schools and institutions should provide accurate information, nominate authorised contacts, support learner participation, confirm consent where needed, maintain attendance records, submit session reports, and communicate concerns promptly.

Responsible Media

Learners and institutions must follow safe, respectful, accurate, and responsible storytelling practices. Content should protect privacy, avoid harm, and respect community members, interviewees, and classmates.

Safeguarding and Consent

Participants must not publish or share learner images, audio, video, interviews, or personal stories without the required permissions. Safeguarding concerns must be reported through the appropriate YouthLearn Africa channel.

Payment and Enrollment

Where payment is relevant, payment is verified manually by YouthLearn Africa. The website does not process online payments at this stage unless YouthLearn Africa later enables an approved payment system. Course access is activated by Tutor/Admin after verification.

Withdrawal, Suspension and Access

YouthLearn Africa may pause, withdraw, or suspend access where safety, misuse, incomplete verification, non-participation, or programme requirements make that necessary.

Intellectual Property and Publishing Permissions

Learners keep appropriate recognition for their work. YouthLearn Africa and approved partners may showcase approved outputs only when permission and moderation requirements are satisfied.
